Our Story

The Payroll Forum was founded by Kevin Waller in January 2019.  It started life as the Essex Payroll Forum with the aim to bring together payroll professionals from across the county of Essex.

In 2020 after the start of the coronavirus pandemic, Essex was dropped from the name and the focus widened to include the rest of the UK.  As everything become virtual, it made sense to interact with the wider community.

Through webinars, groups, roundtables and virtual lounges the Payroll Forum community continues to grow.

How is the Payroll Forum funded?

The Payroll Forum is not a commercial venture with the majority of the costs of the Payroll Forum paid for personally by Kevin Waller.  Some income has been raised via contributions and sponsorship supporters joining the live events.  Kevin aims for the Payroll Forum to support itself financially by the end of 2023 whilst retaining mostly free access for community groups and events.
